The Panelist’s Oath
I swear that I will actually look at the photographs.
I will not award my points to my husband, my partner, or my oldest friend merely because he is my husband, my wife’s brother, my partner, or my oldest friend. I will consider whether the man in front of me has genuinely embodied autumn, and I will rank him accordingly, even when doing so makes the drive home quiet.
I understand that a vote cast out of pure loyalty is not really a vote. It is a favor, and enough favors turn the whole contest into a formality.
I may still vote for him. He may well deserve it. But he will have earned it.
Advanced AI technology may be deployed to detect ballot stuffing. The adminstrator reserves to right to sit you out for a week to preserve the integrety of Mr Autumn if distinct patterns are detected.
Every panelist agrees to this when they join: the ones invited by a contestant and the ones who wandered in on their own alike.
